LAEK PROGRAMMES

HRDA refers to the Human Resources Development Account (HRDA) implemented in the context of education and training of employees in Greece, with an aim to empower employees through education and training.
The HRDA programme provides employees with the opportunity to participate in training seminars that enhance their skills and contribute to their professional development. This programme is useful for the improvement of workers’ employment prospects and their adaptment to changes in the labour market. In all of the above programmes, classes were set up and over 900 workers participated.

CAREER COUNSELLING

Compulearn provides counselling with specialised career guidance counsellors working for the organization, but also external partners.

The counselling in a training programme for the unemployed is divided into 4 individual sessions which are as follows:

The 1st individual session aims at selecting a training programme in one of the specialities of the unemployed person’s choice, based on his/her educational and professional profile, skills, and interests, combined with information on the current labour market requirements for the specialities of his/her preferred sectors.

After the end of the theoretical part of the training
an individual session (2nd individual session) is implemented, which focuses on preparing the beneficiaries for:
– the certification examinations
– the internship
– the labour market in general (indicatively: CV writing, ways of finding a job within and outside active employment policies, preparation for interviews with employers / company representatives) depending on the needs of the beneficiaries.

During the internship and after the completion of a number of hours, the 3rd individual session takes place to monitor the integration of the beneficiaries in the internship.

Within one month after the end of the internship, the 4th individual session is held, which aims to provide support after the end of the internship and to transform the internship into an employment position.

OTHER PROGRAMMES

ENGLISH

Acquiring a foreign language at a high level such as Proficiency (C2) requires time and effort. However, in our group we offer accelerated courses aimed at passing exams leading to a certification at C2 level (Proficiency) or, for beginners, B2 (lower).
The courses are mainly distance learning and include training in all the parts of the certificate (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing). The certification they obtain is recognized by the Greek state and by the international organization OFQUAL.

SECURITY SEMINARS

Many security service companies are looking for personnel who are required to have the necessary license.
In order to obtain this license, anyone interested must pass a written and oral examination at the Centre for Safety Studies (KE.ME.A.) and in order to be eligible to take the examination, he/she must have attended a 105-hour seminar which is conducted by means of distance learning at Compulearn.

TECHNICAL SAFETY SEMINARS

All businesses that have even one employee are required by law to have a person designated as a Safety Technician. The Safety Technician’s role is to analyse the risks and implement appropriate safety measures for the worker and the environment.
The seminar is divided based on the risk of each business. The responsible body for the implementation of the seminar is the Ministry of Labour.

SEMINARS OF THE EUROPEAN FOOD CONTROL AGENCY (EFET)

The Single Food Control Authority (SFCA / EFET) is responsible to control the safety and quality of food of both people and animals to ensure consumer and public health.
It is mandatory for all workers who come into contact with food to be trained through a seminar that will provide them with relevant knowledge on health protection and the opportunity to take examinations to obtain the necessary certification that allows them to work in such establishments.

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

Compulearn provides training to the unemployed, employees and students on basic computer skills and specifically on Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows etc.)

In the end, the trainees participate in certification exams leading to a certificate recognized by the Greek state and the European Union.

SEMINARS ON THE RATIONAL USE OF PESTICIDES

Mandatory seminars on the rational use of pesticides are necessary to ensure the safe and effective use of these substances in the agricultural sector.
At the end, the participating farmers participate in examinations which, like the seminars, are conducted at Compulearn.

SEMINARS FOR ADULT EDUCATORS

In Greece there are various institutions (public and private) that provide adult education, such as the Institutes of Vocational Training (IEK), Second Chance Schools (SSE) and Lifelong Learning Centres (LLLCs). In order to be able to teach at the above training centres, one must be registered in the National Registry of Adult Educators. This is done through exams where there are two parts, written exams and micro-teaching, and in order to be eligible to participate in the exams it is mandatory to have attended a seminar of at least 150 hours. Compulearn implements such seminars on a regular basis.
